Online Casino Sucker Wagers — Part Two

  • Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly contain one of these. You generally lay a bet (a dollar is the normal amt.) to attempt to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Though huge jackpots like these are particularly alluring, they’re also very difficult to win. You would need to get a Royal Flush in order to hit this bet. Also, picture this- you play twenty hands and put the side wager each time. That is 20 dollars you should have used towards the actual game wager in place of a sucker bet. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a bet with greater odds utilizing that 20 dollars.
  • Single number wagers in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. Why? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has just 1. This shifts the overall casino advantage from 2.63percent with a single zero wheel to a huge 5.26percent in American. The one number wager has just a 1 in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets as a substitute which have a much smaller casino edge.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and regardless of how you bet on it, the casino edge can be a huge twenty-five percent. Yes, that wasn’t a typo. Because of the huge set of numbers you must choose, it isn’t recommended to gamble on Keno to often. A few times for fun, perhaps. But don’t spend all your money on it or you’ll quickly find yourself beaten.
